At Giacomelli Tessuti, sustainability is not just a word, but a concrete commitment that guides our daily choices. Although we are a young company, we bring with us a thirty-year family tradition in the textile sector, which has taught us the value of quality, responsibility and respect for the environment.
Circularity of fabrics
We are actively involved in the development of circular economy practices, with the aim of reducing waste and extending the life cycle of materials. We collaborate with suppliers and partners who share our vision, selecting recycled fabrics and promoting production processes that minimize environmental impact. These initiatives align with European strategies for a more sustainable and circular textile industry, as highlighted by the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles.
Towards a more sustainable future
Our vision goes beyond today. We are aware of the environmental challenges that the textile sector faces and we are committed to being part of the solution. We are working to integrate further sustainable practices, such as the adoption of low environmental impact materials and the implementation of more efficient production processes. We also closely monitor regulatory developments, such as the introduction of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regime in Italy, which aims to make producers responsible for managing the end-of-life of textile products.
